Platformable’s taxonomy model

We group all private consumers together as “individuals/households” following the broad category level defined by Open Banking Consumer Reports (Reynolds & Chidley)

For business groupings, we use the European Commission’s definitions of sole trader, small and medium enterprises and large enterprises (https://ec.europa.eu/growth/smes/business-friendly-environment/sme-definition_en)

Number of fintech operating per 1 million head of population (ranked into fifths), color-coded into RAG by ranking groups of fifths
